March 2007

Got a present in the mail today. A card came in the mailbox and there was postage due. Very mysterious. I’d never received any parcels postage due before. So I drove down the street handed the clerk a quarter and when he passed me the envelope I saw the return address. It was a compact disc from my friend LG. Thanks LG! I’m listening to it right now and it’s pretty good. Very indie and very mellow. Nothing like friends who send mail. Especially when it’s new music. If you like the softer side of indie music, check out The Moldy Peaches. Cheers.

Well, let’s see, I was up all night and now it’s 8:16 in the a.m. I’m glad I was awake because a close friend wound up being on Gmail when I was checking the old inbox. We chatted (ah, technology) and I’m going to see if I can find her a job here on the west coast. Hmm. Perhaps with my mad networking skills (tongue firmly in cheek) I could get all of my east coast friends to relocate to Los Angeles…..And now back to reality. I wonder if my psychic abilities are finally starting to develop and I knew she was going to be on Gmail. Or perhaps the universe sent me a signal. In any case, it always feels nice to help a friend. Carry on boys and girls.
